1. Two healthy kids who managed to make it through a winter performance at school, a ballet recital and a "reader's theatre." They are stars of the stage, bless their little hamtastic souls.

Here's the thing, I like cold weather. No, scratch that. I like cool weather. Like 40's. Maybe an occasional dip into the 30's for The Snowing. Yesterday? The high was 17. The wind chill was 0. ZE-RO. Which, in and of itself, is not such a terrible thing, but the elementary schools? Apparently, they don't think that is good playground weather. By the time I picked my kids up from school, they were ricocheting off the walls, delirious with pent-up energy. My daughter was literally bouncing up and down in place of walking. So we get home, and obviously, mayhem ensues.
